Welcome to the new Student Volunteering Network website! We're really excited to bring you our new home and can't wait for you all to get started using it as a base to connect with colleagues across the network - whether that's sharing useful resources, joining a wider conversation about student volunteering in the UK, getting to know your regional group, or more...
Thanks to NUS hosting us via the UnionCloud platform, we've been able to build a much more user-friendly site for our members to navigate. We're still in the process of building the site up, but for now we are excited to introduce:
Replacing the former Knowedge Hub, this is your one-stop shop for useful documents and guides shared by members across the SVN network. Find this under the For Professionals tab on the homepage and access material covering a wide range of topics: from employability to health and safety, RAG committees to volunteer training! Top tip: use the category function on the right-hand side to filter your search down.
Raise your voice if you're working in student volunteering! This is your place to find news and research updates, blog and opinion pieces and the latest sector jobs. We're going to be looking for lots of contributions from members across the network - so don't hold back if there's something you think we should we talking about. Top tip: you can see the latest articles highlighted on our homepage.
Find and join your regional group
This is the place to connect with your local colleagues and find out what's going on in the SVN region that you're part of. We're still growing this section so watch this space - but head over there now to see who your chair is and make sure that you've signed up for regional updates.
And if you've only just found us...
Don't forget to check out the Welcome to SVN tab on our homepage to learn more about what the Student Volunteering Network is, how to join and how to access our mailbase.
The website will keep growing over 2017-18, so keep visiting us and don't hesitate to get in touch if you have:
We will be migrating membership to the new platform over time as we build up features, so for now please ensure you are registered with both the new website and with our mailbase, so that you can stay up-to-date.
